Are Wii impressed ?

Well folks as many of you may already know Nintendo went and did something the other day that nobody except for those at Nintendo were expecting they revealed the name of the previously codenamed Revolution console. The console is now called the Nintendo Wii, which is pronounced we not why and of course as many of you would expect it has caused many of the stock childish and eliteist responses as well as some of the more retarded. Such jokes as "So Nintendo are asking us to play with our wee wee's?" and the typical eliteist "I'm not buying something that sounds that childish which I personally find truely pathetic but hey it's up to them.
So what do you all think of the new name, if we take into consideration the previous consoles and their codenames as opposed to their release names for example the Gamcube's original moniker of 'dolphin' is a case where the change in name didn't cause the console to suffer so all this hype over at the large ad filled sites like IGN, Gamespot and the like about how the name will be the Wii's downfall is just stupid. Also a good point to note is the kind of reaction the news spawned with two articles on the new name over at slashdot getting a rather large number of responses in just one day.
So what's in a name? Does it make or break the product? Let us know how you feel?
